Emma joined The Wiggles in 2010, becoming their first female member. She holds a PhD from Macquarie University focused on integrating sign language, dance and film editing. Her new venture Emma Memma, which won the 2023 ARIA Award for Best Children’s Album, features Deaf dancer Elvin Melvin and includes Auslan interpreters at performances to highlight visual language. She aims to teach communication through sign, dance and gesture.
