The project began during COVID-19 lockdowns when songwriter Commissar Blue Tac performed backyard gigs and living-room livestreams; the band later started playing public shows. Their debut album (2022) features twelve energetic tracks with a warm lo‑fi sound, and their punk song “Jump in the Pool” earned a 2022 Queensland Music Award nomination. Blue Tac believes in the power of a good song and has had airplay on community radio 4ZZZ.
