The best of the best in Australia children’s music were announced on Saturday October 19 at a star studded event to celebrate the third annual Australian Children’s Music Awards (‘The Ma’s’) held at the Institute of Music’s Sydney campus in the Iconic Rocks down by Sydney Harbour.

Zindzi & the Zillionaires were the biggest winner, taking home three awards fro new comer, APRA song of the year and best album, in acknowledgement of her groundbreaking debut album of the same name.

Don Spencer (OAM), one of Australia’s most iconic musicians, entertainers and songwriters, had already been announced as the winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award, and attended the ceremony to receive the award in person from ABC’s Jim Finn.

Other winners included Ukubebe for the inaugural Early Notes award proudly supported by the wiggles and presented on the day by Wiggle members Lucia and Catarina, While Miss Moni took out the children’s choice awards and The Listies finally took home Best Video after their 3rd consecutive nomination in the same category.
