Ms Moni

G’day mate! I’m Monica Ferreira, also known as Ms Moni.

I’m an educator, musician, and a proud mum of two who’s committed to making a positive impact on early childhood learning.

Born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia, I attended a special interest music high school which fuelled my passion for music. I then relocated to Brisbane, Queensland to complete my tertiary education.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree with Class I Honours in Music Performance from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and a Diploma of Education from the University of Queensland. For over 10 years, I’ve been a teacher both in the classroom and privately, working with students from kindergarten to high school.

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. This life-changing injury unfortunately forced me to leave the classroom, I found a new path by teaching violin lessons from home. This unexpected turn in my career ignited a passion for exploring innovative teaching methods, ultimately leading me to the world of YouTube.

My journey as a YouTuber began when I noticed the remarkable effect of music on my first child’s speech and language development. Inspired by this, my husband (also a skilled musician) and I decided to create a YouTube channel that focuses on supporting young children’s learning and sparking their interest through music.

On my channel, I personally edit and create a variety of toddler learning videos, each designed to promote cognitive and language growth. I firmly believe that music plays an essential role in language learning, so I make sure to incorporate engaging tunes, rhythms, and instruments in my content. My goal is to help children develop essential skills while enjoying themselves!

In addition to the videos, I’m devoted to building a warm and welcoming community of learners, parents, and educators who share my enthusiasm for early childhood education.

I cherish the interactions with my audience and always appreciate their feedback and suggestions, as they help create a nurturing and supportive environment for everyone. I feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to combine my love for music, education, and creativity to inspire young minds on their learning journey!

Thank you so much for joining me and my family as we explore the joy of learning through music together!
